Bodega Quimet is captivating spot located in Carrer de Vic, a relatively quiet street that is fairly close to Mercat de la Llibertat, another one of Gracia’s famous fresh food markets. This bodega’s oldschool vibe and decoration is sure to attract the most curious of travellers and food lovers as it doesn’t feel like the type of place that you’d find in the middle of a big cosmopolitan city.
We went on a Wednesday evening to try out some tapas from their extensive menu and it was absolutely delightful.

Our opinions
Eeva – “Quimet is very old school, unique restaurant. The decoration is very creative and the atmosphere is relaxed. Service is also very good and friendly. The olives are the best I’ve tried so far in Barcelona and I could just go there to have a glass of vermut and their olives. The only problem is that it’d be hard to only eat olives since the rest of the menu is so good! I think my favourite dish is their goat cheese and vegetables “tartaleta”. The combination works perfectly and you can feel how the delicious goat cheese melts in your mouth along with the vegetables. Also their poached egg and broad beans will leave you speechless. I absolutely love this place.”
Rafa – “This is one of our typical go-to restaurants around gracia, great atmosphere, excellent service and probably the best vermut in the area. All of their dishes are really good but the stuffed chipirones (squid) are ridiculous! I think it is probably one of my favourite dishes from any restaurant in Barcelona, the flavours are so rich and complement each other perfectly, this dish is definitely a seafood lover’s dream come true. The poached egg is also mindblowing, it’s very nicely condimented and the broad beans match the delicious runny yolk perfectly.”
