Kibuka is an elegant asian restaurant located in Carrer de Goya, just a minute away from Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia, one of Gracia’s most well-known squares. We had been curious about this place for a while because this is not their only restaurant, they have another one on Carrer Verdi and a smaller one on Torrent de l’Olla. Having three restaurants relatively close to each other are definitely signs of a healthy business, so we decided to give it a go.
We were really craving for sushi on a Thursday night so we stopped by to try out some of their dishes.

Our opinions
Eeva – “Kibuka has a unique atmosphere due to the dim lighting and minimalist decoration. The service is good and fast and their special dishes are interesting. The makis we ordered were good but my favourite dish was the spicy tori-uramaki which was a combination that I had never tried before, the pickled onion and chipotle sauce mix surprised me, it was very nice. The presentation was beautiful and the flavours were rich and balanced. I also have to mention their wasabi because it was spicy enough for my taste. Their wine wasn’t that expensive and it was decent, so I would recommend to go and try out their special sushi with some wine.”
Rafa – “The Spicy Tory Uramaki roll was very good and the Thai Uramaki was an interesting mix of flavours, the green curry sauce provided to dip the sushi in was very tasty, the other makis were ok but nothing special. I thought that the food prices were a bit too high in relation to the portions but the wine prices were very fair, we had a very nice rosé wine for less than 10 euros that accompanied our meal in a pleasant way. Overall it was a good experience.”
