Atabalats Gastrobar (Bravurger Tour), Gràcia Nova

Atabalats is a stylish restaurant located on Carrer de la Providència in the neighborhood of Gràcia Nova, also known by its full name “Camp d’en Grassot i Gràcia Nova”. However, we’re only sticking with the Gràcia part of its name in this blog to make it a bit more convenient.

We had been curious about Atabalats for a long time and it turned out that the “Bravurger tour” organized by Bravas Barcelona and Best Burger BCN had this place as one of their scheduled stops so we figured it was the best time to go. The “Bravurger” tour is a very interesting “Patatas Bravas” and Burgers tour that has taken place so far in 10 Barcelona restaurants/bars around the city, these places have paired up with the aforementioned Barcelona food websites in order to bring “limited edition” Bravas + Burgers packs for a very affordable price (in this case it was €11 for the Bravas and burger).

We went there on a Thursday night to try out the “Bravurger tour” pack and it turned out to be a very tasty experience.

Our opinions
Eeva – “I loved the place, it was really cosy and the atmosphere was welcoming and intimate. Service was great and I felt really relaxed there. The bravas were good; they were big, the consistency was very nice and the sauce was something that I hadn’t tried before . But I have to say that the burger was so mindblowing that in the end that was all I was able to think of. It was super delicious and I have to give special points to the bun! What a great idea to use prezel bun instead of the regular one. It was very nice to eat it because the burger wasn’t all over the place. So if you want to bring someone on a date don’t be afraid to try these burgers! Also the flavours were in balance because the guacamole was fresh and the burger was cooked in a perfect way, it didn’t have too much salt so the prezel bun gave a nice salty touch to it. After eating it I told Rafa that this was probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever tried.

Rafa – “It was nice to finally go to one of the “Bravurger” tour stops, there were so many that looked so delicious but we couldn’t find time to go to any of the other ones. Thankfully stop number 10 was fifteen minutes walking distance from our place so we definitely had to check it out. We got there with pretty high expectations so I’m happy to say that I hadn’t had such a good burger in a long time, the seasoning of the meat was perfect, the bun was so delicious and the guacamole was super fresh. The bravas were very good as well, the flavours were very subtle and the potatoes were nicely fried, usually bravas provide strong flavours but in this case I though it was great that it was something smoother that complemented the burger perfectly. I think we will definitely go back to try their normal menu! It was a success for everyone involved.”
