Recipe: Simple Vegan Smoothies

Eating fruit is an essential habit that is sometimes a bit difficult to follow. At our household we’re not really big fans of fruit with a “core”, apples never grace our bowl and pears are rarely seen. We also have somewhat of a problem with fruits that you have to peel or which take a long time to be cut into reasonable slices, although we definitely make an effort when it comes to a juicy watermelon, but that’s pretty much it. Bananas are always present but of course they become boring with time, so at one point we knew we had to switch it up, and the answer was to make delicious vegan smoothies with no additional sugar added.

Initially we were employing the most popular oat drink, Oatly Oat Drink, for our smoothies. It is originally from Sweden and the taste is good but the price is quite high in Spain, at Veritas Supermarket it costs 2.19 euro. We realized it wasn’t that affordable to buy one of these almost every two days (we also pour it in our coffee) so we started trying local brands, and we’re happy to say that we discovered a fairly cheaper, and in our opinon, tastier alternative: Yosoy Oat Drink.

So here we just wanted to share two extremely simple smoothie recipes, not only are they healthy and delicious but they would also be perfect to serve for guests at any brunch/breakfast, we hope you enjoy them! (Receta disponible en español)
