Üla Café is an incredible new cafe/restaurant that opened at the beginning of 2022 in the picturesque neighborhood of Sant Andreu, far away from all the touristic madness that summer months bring to the center of Barcelona.
Üla Café es un increíble nuevo café/restaurante que abrió sus puertas a principios de 2022 en el pintoresco barrio de Sant Andreu, lejos de toda la locura turística que traen los meses de verano al centro de Barcelona.
It was just a couple of months ago when we were first contacted by María and Julieta, the wonderful people who run Üla Café, for a food photoshoot. They had seen pictures Eeva had taken for our Salsa Duaal Instagram and wanted something similar for all the items in their menu. So we agreed on a date and time and paid them a visit the following week.
Fue hace apenas un par de meses cuando María y Julieta, las maravillosas personas encargadas de Üla Café, nos contactaron por primera vez para una sesión de fotos de comida. Habían visto fotos que Eeva había tomado para nuestro Instagram de Salsa Duaal y querían algo similar para todos los platillos de su menú. Así que acordamos una fecha y hora y les hicimos una visita la semana siguiente.
The first impression we had was that the place looked amazing, it’s very cozy, full of light and the decoration is extremely tasteful as well. We had never tried their food before so we were very lucky to shoot it and try it at the same time. Once the dishes started coming out of the kitchen, we couldn’t believe how gorgeous the meals looked and yes, they even tasted better than they looked. Below we want to share some of the pictures from that amazing photoshoot!
La primera impresión que tuvimos del lugar fue que tenía un aspecto fantástico, es muy acogedor, lleno de luz y la decoración es muy bonita también. Nunca antes habíamos probado su comida, así que tuvimos mucha suerte de fotografiarla y probarla al mismo tiempo. Una vez que los platos comenzaron a salir de la cocina, no podíamos creer lo estupendos que se veían y sí, incluso sabían mejor de lo que se veían. ¡A continuación queremos compartir algunas de las imágenes de esa increíble sesión de fotos!
The best part about their menu is that there are many dishes for all tastes, vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters will all have a lot of options to choose from. The coffee they serve is also some of the best we’ve had in our many years living in this city and the selection of pastries and cake is to die for.
Lo mejor de su menú es que hay muchos platos para todos los gustos, clientes veganos, vegetarianos y carnívoros tendrán muchas opciones para elegir. El café que sirven también es uno de los mejores que hemos probado en nuestros muchos años viviendo en esta ciudad y la selección de pasteles y bollería es de otro mundo.
So if one day you find yourself around Sant Andreu, we would wholehartedly recommend to go to Üla Café, this place has it all, spectacular food, relaxing atmosphere and above all, lovely people behind it.
Así que si algún día te encuentras por Sant Andreu, te recomendamos que vayas a Üla Café, este lugar lo tiene todo, comida espectacular, ambiente relajado y sobre todo, gente encantadora detrás de este proyecto.
We also want to announce that we will be organizing an event with them! On Sunday, July 31st 2022, Üla Café will be hosting a Mexican brunch, and we’ll be joining with our very own Salsa Duaal, plus art by Eeva and some tunes will be played by xenonyms.
¡También queremos anunciar que organizaremos un evento con ellas! El domingo 31 de Julio de 2022, Üla Café ofrecerá un brunch mexicano, y nos uniremos con nuestra propia Salsa Duaal, además del arte de Eeva y algunos tracks pinchados por xenonyms.
